Advice on how mothers plan their day is given by Svetlana Goncharova, a double-mother, author and project manager and family time management specialist.

"Planning a life with a child is impossible!" - such a verdict is usually handed down by young mothers. And I, as a mother of two children, understand very well why. When you have small children, life becomes very unpredictable and full of surprises!
But believe me, agree to go with the flow - it means just surrender! But I really want you to create circumstances, and not be their victims. Planning a life with children is possible, moreover - NEED! If you have many unknowns, then it is all the more important for you to know where you are going and to have a plan of action (or even a few) before you begin your day.
And I’ll say at once my global opinion about the daily routine - Mom MUST have an established daily routine, even though the child and the husband may behave unpredictably :). It is possible, it is very important and it makes life very easy. You can always know and be sure that when you are going to happen, believe me. If there is no stability in the day of the mother, then there will be no STABILITY IN THE FAMILY DAY.
Let's talk about our day. For this, I have prepared.
It looks, perhaps, intimidating: many columns, many columns, but in fact everything is simple. Start filling out and see that it is not difficult!
Schedule time in blocks
First of all, we divide the day into three blocks: morning, afternoon and evening. Often we put things off (since many of them are not tied to a specific time), thinking: “I will do it later,” and do not have time to look back as evening came, and it’s time to go to bed.
But when your day is divided into three parts, you can tie things to a specific part of the day. And know what you specifically need to do:
  • In the morning
  • Happy
  • In the evening
To cope with the affairs more effectively, you need to collect small tasks of the same type together, so to speak, in “one unit”.Of course, your thematic blocks should be formed around the routine of the child's day, for example:
  • Morning(child active and calm): cooking, cleaning, washing.
  • Day(walk and daytime sleep of the child): self-development, work issues.
  • Evening(the child and the husband need attention): communication with the husband and children, personal time (cartoons for the child, you have a hot bathroom :)).
Thanks to such a structure, it is already becoming easier, even if there are no cases tied to time.
Plan the way you want!
When you choose how to distribute household chores according to thematic blocks, focus on your own and children's biorhythms and features. It is better to put the most difficult household chores when the child is complacent and behaves best. For example, in my life this morning. And the evening is better to free from household chores and leave for classes with the child, who will entertain him. But if he likes the laundry, then he can leave the laundry for the evening to do this with the baby, and catch two birds with one stone. Thus, you will consider a children's mode in the affairs.
If you are a “lark”, then, of course, you want to do maximum work in the morning. If it's a night owl, then I would advise you not to do things in the evening, but in the afternoon, in order to leave the evening to your husband and family communication. Therefore, be guided by your own and children's biorhythms when you make up the day regimen and complete the planning sheet.
Plan in your day "Nerutiny"
Pay attention to the column with "mandatory cases." Usually, we have in the list of “obligatory cases”: washing, cleaning, cooking, walking with a child, i.e. ordinary routine concerns. But I want you to include “Nerutins” in the “obligatory deeds”.

Nerutiny - this is what we usually postpone, but it is also important. Not as urgent as housework, but important:

  • taking care of yourself
  • time for self-development and implementation,
  • time with husband
  • special time with an older child,
  • chat with friends, etc.
If you wait until there is time for all this, then you can not wait. Only we ourselves can make an effort and make time for these important matters. Therefore, write in your “obligatory deeds” at least one “non-routine” per day. Ideally, all three are better, but write down at least one.

Plan to take care of yourself
This is what I suggest you do in order to plan for taking care of yourself with the help of our planning sheet - did a block of work - reward yourself with 15 minutes of rest! For example:
  • MORNING:cooking, cleaning tops, washing = a cup of tea and a book of 15 minutes
  • DAY:walk, rest, work, computer = sleep with a baby, self-development, amenity
  • EVENING:family communication, preparing for tomorrow = planning 10 minutes, time with the husband, pleasant to yourself
In doing so, you do not overspend. Imagine: you spent strength and immediately replenished them. When the day is divided into three parts, we can legally give ourselves a rest. In the morning he did business, in the evening walk boldly. Rest, at least not for long, it will fill your strength.
Habit: 10 minutes for planning the day ahead
I suggest you embed a very simple, but mega-useful habit into your life!

Every evening, right after putting the children in, spend ten minutes planning the day ahead.

A habit is either a bad mistress or a good servant. If you learn every day at least 10 minutes (a little, right?) To spend on planning, this will VERY help your coming day (which means you!). Just imagine: in the morning you wake up and immediately “go according to plan”, instead of painfully and nervously remembering: “What should I do today ?!”
Of course, from the first time you will not be able to plan and live a perfect day! It is important to remember here that we are not striving for the ideal (down with perfectionism!), We are moving step by step towards a more orderly and full life.
So, in order to learn how to plan a day, we need:
  1. WRITE A PLAN (what comes first, as “seemingly appropriate,” or something that has already worked)
  2. TRY IT'S EXECUTIVE (as it will, it will, but try to check with him during the day)
  3. ANALYZE (At the end of the day, see what happened and what needs to be rearranged, redoing. What worked out well, we leave and use it, but it didn't work out - we change it).
  4. WRITE A NEW PLAN, considering what you have already learned from the old plan.
  5. REPEAT ALL AGAIN AND AGAIN until you find something that will work and help you!
We need to act, even if you do not know how and what! Act! You do not know how to plan the day - do at least something to find out :). You can!!!
Make a plan for the day, analyze how you live it, make adjustments - and so on and on. Life is constantly making its amendments. Children behave differently. We are also sometimes in the best, sometimes in the worst form. So be flexible and kind to yourself.
Take small steps forward - and you will succeed!
